Here the aperitivo is called Wine Hour and it strictly follows the Milanese tradition - a rich buffet with warm dishes and cold "stuzzichini" like cheese, ham, pizzette and an excellent selection of wines.
Wine Hour is from 6:30 p.m to 9:00 p.m. On Thursday evenings there is also life music.

TRATTORIA TOSCANA - since the 70's this restaurant, run by Elio and Luciano, has always be trendy. At the aperitivo hour it is usually standing room only in the fantastic courtyard garden as everyone crowds around the buffet laid under the huge tree. If you want to eat after that, the romantic candle-lit restaurant offers typical Tuscan food in generous portions.

The name is the address. Just a few steps away from famous"Santa Maria delle Grazie" is this small stylish bar that is open from breakfast time until late evening. We choose to put it under the aperitivo section because we think it is best at this time of day. This is when the light enhances the interiors most and twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays there is life music. But if you happen to be in that area in the morning you might want to stop for breakfast as well.
