Just recently opened, a great little place right off of Via Torino in Via San Murillio. As the name indicates, they specialize in “Panini” (sandwiches) but not only that. They also have delicious soups like onion soup, and vegetable soup served in a ‘bread bowl’, healthy and creative salads, and scrumptious desserts.

CANTINA DELLA VETRA
A beautiful and typical Italian casual country style restaurant with an excellent wine cellar and a warm and cozy atmosphere. The cuisine is typical Italian with various types of sliced meat as starters and main courses like porcini mushroom dishes and home made gnocchi.
Cantina della Vetra is very popular amongst the Milanese and therefore always crowded, so advanced booking is recommended.

A small and cozy pizzeria with the atmosphere of a family run business. Since Biagio opened in the 70's it is one of Milan's most popular and best pizzerias, so there is regularly some queuing to get in but it is definitely worth it. The pizza is original Neapolitan style and just too good. In summer there are also a few tables outside.
Via Vincenzo Monti, 28

This restaurant is part of the innovative LifeGate project and therefore the spirit is all about eco-sustainability . The restaurant has an informal style with big wooden tables, wood panelling on the walls and some vintage elements.
The food is rigorously made of organic, fair-trade products. A must try are the biological kamut pizzas.

POCHI MA BUONI
Few but delicious means the name of this restaurant and it does not refer to the quantity of food but to the space. With only about 30 seats this restaurant strongly believes in highest standards, as far as the contemporary interiors and atmosphere is concerned and especially regarding the food. Through a decorated window you can watch the chef at work and get the right inspiration for what will soon be served on your table.
