Milan is a city full of wonderful museums. Here below some of the most famous ones with links to their websites. The newest one is the "Museo del 900", a museum of Italian art of the twentieth century. It is located in Piazza Duomo right aside the Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace).

The Ambrosiana One of the oldest “Milanese” institutions, it combines a Library and Picture Gallery into one integrated structure. Highlights are masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Caravaggio, Botticelli and many other Italian and foreign masters.

Villa Necchi Campiglio
One of the famous Historic House Museums of Milan, this private home is now one of the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) properties. Masterfully restored and opened to the public, this villa is a gem as well as being a peaceful oasis in the center of bustling Milan.
