Milan's Tallest Skyscraper
The "Torre Varesine" designed by Cesar Pelli has become Milan's tallest skyscraper at a height of 230 meters. Comparing it to other monuments in Italy, it is the tallest of them all. The Tower is part of the Porta Nuova project which reconnects three projects: Garibaldi, Varesine and Isola, covering an overall surface of more than 290,000 square metres.
In Torino the Mole Antonelliana is 167 meters high while in Milan the new headquarters for the Lombardy Region is an impressive 161 meters high.
Even if the Duomo di Milano Cathedral no longer holds the record as the tallest monument in Milan, it continues to amaze visitors to the city with its impressive Gothic architecture and more than 135 spires.
